As for Stem Cells, in looking at the source of the embreyos, we have to consider their origional fate. Most, if not all, of the ones used would be taken from fertility clinics and would be scheduled to be thrown away anyway. Medical research can save more lives, and once a line is established, it can be propagated. It would not quite be taking donated embryos. You asked if we can justify doing it, can we justify not?

therapy is a wonderful thing.
Shadow spent all morning yesterday shooting holes in a computer. Yes, literally shooting holes in a literal computer. A friend of mine who knew I wanted to learn to shoot and had a very sweet rifle offered to take me out to one of Flagstaff's "shooting ranges" - the kind where you hide from cars- and teach me. So we got a defunct computer from Computer rennaisance (yes the friend works there) and went out and had a little target practice. Shadow was in heaven. She is now completely addicted to high-power weaponry. Computers of the World (and Clawed) beware! Shadow can shoot!
Believe it or not, this thing behaved very well when it learned about that little tidbit.
And there was the most gorgeous thunderstorm last night... and we went and saw the fireworks... all in all, it was a very good fourth of July.
Ok- now you have a sponge to play with? Bird- you are insane. This weekend is not good but I can come down almost any other weekend- I was at home is why the different computer- that one is my parents. the roommate is ok- freaked over her finals that that's normal. Lora has invited me to come down with Misty sometime because Misty was going to come down sometime but we all know Lora. o.O
I perhaps have found a publishing program I can get for nothing, so maybe the layout will change soon- I hope so. In the meantime, the scholarship went over well, I got it, so I get to keep the room all by myself during the year.
Bird- I just read your blog, and I am here to rescue you if you need it. I will have a roommate who is moving out this weekend and possibly one moving in, I don't know, but I personally am not doing anything of any importance for the next month or so on weekends. Am willing to either travel or be host.
One would not believe how clingy parents can get when they have both daughters gone... Sarah and I have been wreaking havoc in Flagstaff on the rare occasions when we are together off-campus- oh- that's the other thing- she has room privilages. But she'd (believe it or not) even more insane than I am, so we make a good pair.
Other than that, almost assured of getting my scholarship renewed so I am back to my happy insaneness- will be back on my own computer tomorrow.
