And the silence of the shining stone
like the shattering crystal of the poet cries:
"I the enigma undefined,
the error of my age;
the players and the play defamed
that tread a timeless stage.
Ay! both hero and the rake,
of tragedy and of comic parts;
the dirge at many a wake
and the wit that veins the farce."

Thanks to Freeservers.com (DO NOT EVER USE THAT WEB HOSTING COMPANY) my website looks like shit. I apologize for anyone that might go visit it. Unless you want to visit the campaign page, don't bother.
Bird - to respond to your posts, but speaking as the GM - up until now, it has been Eponlora who had the best chance of doing things... like I told Kallaris, give me a chance! As for her skills, they have been useful, they do fit with her character, and don't be surprised if they don't work as well as she thinks they do... I was working on taking Kallaris downa few notches last night, next it will be Eponlora's turn to be brought back to a human lavel... Lord night will get what' coming to him, and if he wants to keep the red eyes, thta's really not adding anything to his character... I try to catch the references but I did allow in-character ones, and I usually catch them after the fact. Remember, before last semester, I wasn't even sure what an RPG was.
forgive me for sounding harsh, , you chose to give Bird very prominent comical tendancies... I can't help but exploit them, because at the time, that was all I had for Bird to do... that was the only reaction to her surroundings that I could see you portraying. Like I said at the beginning, it is going to take me several sessions to figure out how to handle the groups skills and to balance them out, and as I told you guys yesterday, there is an anti-magic device in Kytok's house, and a few other nifty toys... Lora was never supposed to get the spells on that axe, but I set rules for myself on how much I could tamper with what things like my dice rolls or the Deck threw into my plot, and I could not have backed out of last night withuoght breaking evry one of those rules. I will balance out the rest of the group with magic, or as lesat try to, and I have not forgotten about Bird and her skills... if Bird the character is getting upset with Lora the character, not the players, it is up to Bird to do something about it.
the game tonight threw me for a loop... I have never had to think so fast. *sigh* at lesat i know it can be done...
As for what happens outside of my little world... I think I'm still in shock... the stories of people's bravery and heroism get to me... and of course I feel angery and (a little) vengeful, but what really hits me is how other nations are responding to this... the outpouring of support and cooperations with governemnts that we had only days ago been arguing with...
Icchan called September 11th the day the world caught fire. let me add to that.
September 11, 2001 - the day America cried out for hlp, and the world responded.
Pleasant thing to wake up to in the morning - he World Trade Center buildings going up in smoke... I only know bits and pieces, so I won't bore anyone... It won't be too hard to find information (every TV station in the United States has the information)
Bird - thanks for the responses - very interesting... and I have no idea what would happen if 'Dri got betwen kallaris and those he intended to kill.... 'twould be a very interesting situation... *sigh* back to the mundane life...
