And the silence of the shining stone
like the shattering crystal of the poet cries:
"I the enigma undefined,
the error of my age;
the players and the play defamed
that tread a timeless stage.
Ay! both hero and the rake,
of tragedy and of comic parts;
the dirge at many a wake
and the wit that veins the farce."
Oscar Wilde

QOTN:
GM: yeah, you need to be wearing the dress. Bird: Is this where I start loosing pieces of clothing?
So now the public wants anthrax vaccines. Vaccines that don't work very well, and are still in the highly experimental pahse. Vaccines that only protect against one, maybe two, of the four forms of Bacillus anthracis, and vaccines that have a small chance of infecting those who get them. I wonder if the public realizes that. Because if the US gets hit with Anthrax, they may as well take the impact site off the map. You see, by the time you realize you've got the diease, you're probably already dead. And it is not a pleasant way to die.
Hope and pray that not even the terrorists are that stupid... an ill-timed Anthrax bomb, one dropped in a large enough area, or multiple attacks could wipe out 85% of the population of entire state. Or the entire population of a third-world country. Anthrax breeds fast with ample nutrition, especially those forms fatal to humanity. What the public also doesn't know is how fast it mutates, and that one form can mutate from an inert strain to a virulent one in under one hundred generations.
For all that I want to see the people behind this punished, and those responsible wiped off the face of the earth, I would be the first to let them go if it meant never seeign anthracis used...
*yawn* Ok, notes to self: As a GM, you've figured out cities... now you have to figure out all the rest of the map. ::shakes her head:: some other time. Half the synopsis is up, the rest will go up tomorrow, as well as the last of the current changes to the website... Hopefully, all will be finished for a while... and I can spend more time of the game next week...
I can't wait for the twelveth! (spelling??? it's too late for spelling....)
::bouncebounce:: ahhh... friday... finally... This week has both been too long (looks back at how long it seemed to take to get from monday to friday, and how long we have to go until the 12th...) and too short (looks at the lack of time she spent studying for her exams...)
And I'll warn you guys right now... I may have a physics midterm of the 12th, so expect me to be hyper and "I'm freeeeeeeee!" on that day when we leave....
::giggle:: I can't wait for the game... ::snerk:: Munch!
And now, courtesy of Icchan, today's random insanity:
Icchan: Dragonriders of Pern? Icchan: You read Anne McCaffrey, right? Icchan: Drop Harry Potter into it. Clawed: ::bash:: oh good grief... Icchan: Harry Potter Rides A Dragon. Someone else: Oh, dear lord. That's a terrifying thought. Harry Potter impresses a Queen. Slashiness follows! Icchan: "Malfoy's bronzed chest matched the color of his dragon..." Icchan: *howl* Someone else: I like to mock stuff. We hurt the ones we love the most, you know.. Clawed:I should start bashing my head aginst the wall any time now... (harry potter +ramoth) Icchan: *HOWL!!!!* Clawed: oh gods.... Icchan: And poor Ron gets the hand-me-down Brown. Clawed: (malfoy + mnementh) Icchan: eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww Clawed: (ron + canth) Icchan: dadadawho was the white one again? Clawed: ruth Clawed: (hermoine + pridith) Icchan: Y'know...the MasterHarper would fit into the HP universe WELL. Clawed: :: howls:: Icchan: Hee. And Snape would have a black dragon, just because. Icchan: Harry Potter and the Dawn Sisters. Clawed: OY...
>.< consciousness comes in the form of my neighbor's music... and one wailing baby... if I spoke to my RA at all, I would complain... of course both annoyances are nonexistant once I usually get myself motivated enough to actually do something about it...
*yawn* one incredibly delicious dinner later, and I am sooo ready to sleep... but I still must do things, and my neighbors are being noisy again, and, and.....
