And the silence of the shining stone
like the shattering crystal of the poet cries:
"I the enigma undefined,
the error of my age;
the players and the play defamed
that tread a timeless stage.
Ay! both hero and the rake,
of tragedy and of comic parts;
the dirge at many a wake
and the wit that veins the farce."

*yawn* flagstaff is about the most boring place on earth if there's no one else around... at least, that one cares to hang out with. *grumbles and wishes she could spend at least part of her summer at home.*

But hey, at least I'm blogging more now... And Shaila and a bunch of people and I are going to see ep. 2 on sunday, so I guess it could be worse. *Still is not sure whether to be afraid of seeing ep 2 or not* I guess I'll find out the hard way...

Nataku no Miko, glad that your birthday went well and that gifts were cool ^_^.

Icchan - I haven't forgotten your birthday present, and I will send it when I get your new mailing address (and it's sendable.)

Madam Duct Tape - Zig. That's all I have to say. Just Zig.

Bird - I have that quote attributed to three different people in three different places, so I won't be of any help. And as you told me in january what the lie was in your list, I won't comment except to say once again truth proves stranger than fiction (and has really interesting backstories). ^_^

speaking of backstories, Kallaris - Could we start compiling a list of emails of people who are potential to join our game next fall? I'd like to reconfigure my hotmail account and at least find out information about our players. Also, since we're both at the same (about) boredom level, perhaps start putting together thoughts on our background story and the two characters we're going to play? Perhaps post ideas in our blogs since I'm usually at work when you're online? I think I'd like to have my own little ship names the Jus Sanguinis. I read through the rulebooks you left me, and will be getting the main rifts book (largely, still, because there are far more things not in the macross/whatever books you left with me that are important than there are, and we need to have a definite, hard rule book I'm afraid.) Just remember not to take that I might now things for granted about backstory... explain things in as much detail (without being overly detailed) as you can.

No weird news tagged on the end... I'll catch up with it over the weekend so I've got a bigger pile of stories to pick from.

Today I discovered a whole new level of grime.

Spring cleaning - theatre style. We got a new director (a bit sad to see the old one go but he was getting weird about things. And the new one is fun) and the first thing she did was order a massive undertaking.

You would not believe the junk that was discovered hiding in weird places. Ancient (and I mean ancient lights up on the catwalks. More lumber and assorted wood things than many lumberyards have. A pile of random useless tech stuff taller than I am. We hauled it out of all it's myriad hiding places and spread it all over the stage. The stage is now filthy. The crew is largely filthy (I don't think I will ever get the dirt out from under my fingernails). But, the orchestra pit, the sound booth, the light booth, the crew office, the office-office, the coves, the catwalks - are now clean.

And it's a good kind of grime, if you know what I mean. It's a kind of "I Have Accomplished Something" grime. By the time we're finished, that auditorium will sparkle... well, nearly. Just in time for the Statler Bros. farewell (but that's really only a rumour) concert to be held there.

1. If you don't know who the statler bros. are, ask your parents.
2. No, the one free ticket I get is already spoken for.

At any rate, I'm exhausted. And, fortunately, tomorrow is a "Clawed works in the biochem lab" day, so I won't (unless I get done early) be working in the auditorium tomorrow.

And, Megatokyo updated!
and ooooooooooooh......

Ok, now that this whole "blog" thing is becoming a little more regular, a little bit of weird news.

A bit crude, but I challenge anyone to argue the effectiveness of this particular punishment...

Japan is just full of good stories this week...

And it just keeps getting.... more interesting...

If it was japan, I'd worry..... I want That car.

Did you know that carrots used to be purple?

All right, that's it for now ^_^

*tapping her nails against the glass like the woman in the Mervyn's commercial*

update...update...update...update...update.......

Look, it's Clawed, the phantom blogger.

I should be here more often now, not that I have anything interesting to say.

*giggle* bliss is music, snacks, Dr. Pepper, and my feet against a space heater...

I promise to update Mirrorgate soon! I haven't forgotten, to those who keep asking.

Kallaris, point of order, that was not a date and we aren't dating. Sorry to be blunt, but I've never been one for subtlety.

*giggle* Oh, Julia.... just cause I can *grin*

Bird - if that was Black and White, sorry, it completely slipped my mind that you wouldn't have the codes and stuff. That whole week was rather hectic for me... glad you got whatever-it-was working. If not, have you tried Black and White yet? did it work?

Ai! She's alive!! Happy birthday (belatedly)! *sends hugs and hopes for really good presents your way*

Hrm... I believe that's the short form of the social blogging I was thinking about at work this morning, while I was messing up a DNA extraction... don't ask, it's a very long story. umm... lets see, what's in the news today of note?

I'd worry, but since I've never even heard of this place...

1) I know she's not a ninja but this is further proof that Ninjas are among the World's Coolest People.
2) Why don't they know what nun-chuks... num-chaks... yeah, those things, are really called?

I like the title that Reuters gave it... "Cat goes on rampage, evicts owners."
and here's a slightluy more in-depth version

I'm not exactly sure what to say about this one...

It's effective...

Not to offend anyone, but the japanese are odd... cool, but odd...

beehives and superglue are not a good combination...

I believe in animal rights, but some people can take it too far...

one last one... when haz-mat is required to identify vodka...
